BS is right at that price for Heresy's with holes in the sides from mounting brackets. It is a most interesting lot, though.

It will be most interesting to see what sort of offer the seller accepts.

Pretty cool for Klipsch that they were all in service at the Sahara Casino in LV.

Anyone have a guess as to what the seller would have paid for the lot?

Prices vary all over depending on the details. Sometimes places want stuff gone, already have the space rented for serious bucks and the hardware totally depreciated on the books, and end up paying for removal. Sometimes its a bid process with big cost adders like only union electricians and equipment handlers can touch the stuff.

Strikes me as odd that they would have so misjudged selling prices.

The whole point for anyone buying in quantity would be to recondition and resell by pairs to private buyers. That's way too much for mint Heresy's, let alone black painted ones that are saturated with tobacco tar and dust and have holes in them. It's pretty easy to find good condition Walnut Heresys for around $250 a pair. I got my oiled Walnut Heresy's in their boxes for $100. Given the amount of effort needed to make these speakers presentable and resell them, let along transport them from Vegas, I can't see anything higher than $70 a pair being reasonable. Maybe Rick over at Pawn Stars will buy them out?

I think the main buyer to target with a quantity like this are commercial users, amusement rides like it just came out of, dance clubs, bowling alleys? My only worry that I will miss out on an eventual great price, is that some large indoor venue buys them all, but I think the chances of that are very small.

I just sent him a check for $40k....

Also filed for a divorce (actually was hit with a flying frying pan with the summons attached...)

Sold everything and bought a crap load of el-cheapo amps... I'm ready brother, I'm ready..

Changed my name (not that I could come up with anything exciting... Jethro T. Sumbuck...)

Moved out and rented a warehouse, bought a cot and am awaiting the big white truck....
