Hoenig
I finished a garage (my own sports bar) recently. I wired it for 5.1 sound. No acoustic treaments and concrete floor. I plan to watch sports for the most part. I am looking for a good overall speaker and considering running "all channel stereo" the majority of the time. I have the opportunity to buy (4) Klipsch 1.5 speakers in Oak Oil (matches my Home Theater Fortes/Academy) for a little less than $200 total. Are (4) Klipsch KG1.5's worth $200 in decent shape? At this point, it is either this or a Klipsch Quintet III set up. What are your quick thoughts? Pull the trigger on the KG's? I love the look of them
oldtimer
Haven't heard them myself but I would think the kg's would be the way to go.
RT FAN
Hoenig, I have a pair of KG 1.5's in oak oil & am very happy with them. (BTW I paid nearly $200 for the pair in mint condition). I use them in conjunction with my Chorus II when watching movies via 2 channel. They match up nicely with the Heritage series. On occasion I will play them by themselves when listening to music & am impressed with the sound coming from them. They would more than fit the bill for your setup, let's face it a concrete floor won't be the most conducive surface for listening to tunes. No need to throw KHorns in there. You should grab them, they have some heft given their size.
CECAA850
Too bad you missed out on the cinema speaker deal Rigma had going on.
