willland Posted May 27, 2012 Share Posted May 27, 2012 I am here at my sisters in Atlantic Beach, Florida(North of Jax Beach) getting pounded by T.S. Beryl. Sustained winds around 65mph with recorded gusts close to 80mph. Two anamolies taking place here. Very early TS(pre hurricane season) and direct hit on Jax. Most storms come from the south or sw but only skirt by Jax. Can't recall a direct hit. Just got back from the beach(two blocks from her house) where I saw 8 - 10ft surf and felt 50mph gusts. It was incredible. Coytee, how are you making out? I guess mother nature is giving you a belated warm welcome to our beautiful state.
