kenratboy
Have you noticed that BMW (cars, if you are a complete moron and don't know) has a 3, 5, and 7 Series car line, and Klipsch reference has a 3, 5, and 7 Series (grades of the speakers size, etc.) I wonder if there is somthing about odd numbers in advertising? ------------------ Receiver: Sony STR-DE675 CD player: Sony CDP-CX300 Turntable: Technics SL-J3 with Audio-Technica TR485U Speakers: JBL HLS-610 Subwoofer: JBL 4648A-8 Sub amp: Parts Express 180 watt Center/surrounds: Teac 3-way bookshelfs Yes, it sucks, but better to come. KLIPSCH soon! My computer is better than my stereo!
michael hurd
Haven't really noticed that, but it definately is a corrolation. Really, though I have wondered why no one has attempted to try the klipsch tractrix horn and 6.5" woofer from the rb3 in a vehicle. With all the custom fiberglass and vinyl work being done these days in car audio installs, this would definately be cool! Can you say loud ? boa12
maybe it's an extension of odd/even pricing, as in marketing pricing at $999.99 instead of $1000. or because 7 is a lucky number but 666 is the sign of the devil. i d/k - my mind's blown. good ? though. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
T2K
Sheer coincidence. The vehicles have scored well recently in offset crash tests. The speakers have not. Keith

kenratboy
OH YEAH! I would take an 850 anyday. Can you say V-12? Really, I want a 540 and spend ~$5000 and put a supercharger (turbos are better suited for smaller engines, and WAY more expensive for a 540.) THis would give me 450 HP and, well, 450 HP. The offset crash rating is better on the Heritage line, and that is reflected in the lower insurance rates. The Synergy Series is below Hyundi and Kia, making insurance unaffordable. The Reference Series is just fine, and both initial costs and insurance are affordable. Car & Driver & Speakers recommends the R-Series. ------------------ Receiver: Sony STR-DE675 CD player: Sony CDP-CX300 Turntable: Technics SL-J3 with Audio-Technica TR485U Speakers: JBL HLS-610 Subwoofer: JBL 4648A-8 Sub amp: Parts Express 180 watt Center/surrounds: Teac 3-way bookshelfs Yes, it sucks, but better to come.
