edster00
One of my favorite movies is the '91 remake of "Cape Fear" with Nick Nolte, Robert DeNiro, Jessica Lange, & Juliette Lewis. Good Flick!

Hilo
There's been some great movies mentioned that I totally agree with: Usual Suspects Das Boot Shawshank Redemption Full Metal Jacket I'd also add: Ran Shine The Seven Samuri Tron Maltese Falcon (I guess this might have been "mama" back in its time) and Red Dawn just for kicks. ------------------ KLF-10 KLF-C7 KLF-RS3 Yamaha RX-V800 Receiver JVC XV-FA95 DVD/DVDA Toshiba 36" HDTV
skaboy52
I'm suprised that noone has mentioned the excellent Guy Ritchie movies, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, and ******. Also, I saw that someone had mentioned The Professional, but the director's cut, Leon, adds so much more to the original film. Definately one to check out. cluless
yeee gads skaboy52 I cant believe that I missed your post...****** is priceless...Between Brad Pitts gawd awful accent, and the stereotypical characters ( and not to mention the dog)...this movie was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.. Lock, stock and two smoking barrels...is actually sitting on my shelf, waiting..un watched. I have to be in the right mood.
cluless
Just another addition...On the Edge... Another 'angst' film, but the, soundtrack includes the pumpkins, the pixies, herb alpert and the brass, rudolf the red nose reindeer, the Jam, perhaps the stranglers,...and this really weird track...that says something like.....god..kicks with both feet..and keeps his feet clean..LOL. boa12
maybe not a real MAMA, but just watched "blame it on rio" last pm yet again. one of my alltime favorite comedies. & that michelle johnson sure had some talent. also has demi moore in a side role. too bad about michelle. she never really took off from there. wonder why. did some research on her. didn't know she was a former miss teen america. http://www.homunculus.com/eikona/johnson.html ------------------ My Home Systems Page
Vladi
I want to add "The Big Blue" to the list. In my opinion it is a great movie, starring Jean Reno, Joanna Arquete (spelling?), directed by Luc Besson. cluless
body double - boa - For the first half of the movie, I swore I'd seen it before, then nothing. That could have been due to a number of reasons I wont go into here. Anyway, nice twist to the plot, but I think that you really like the flick because of the young MG in black leather (and less) ...LOL. I thought parts of it were really funny too "glam vampires", supper speedy grave digging (did the hole need to be THAT BIG?), some over melodramatic acting and 80s cinematography. BTW, You were right, I liked it.

boa12
k-daddy, yea that's the steamy part in my other review. intense, deep bass too, suprisingly. that lynch is wierd but a genius. clu, glad you enjoyed BD. yes I did enjoy the young melanie. heck, i enjoy all good looking actresses. don't know what's wrong w/ me. it effects my ability to discern acting talent. & i love the director DePalma work, like w/ the cameras. also w/ scarface & all of his works. he can build an atmosphere. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
