Brian6751
what is the going rate for these?
Brac
Depends on condition, and finish. It's a reasonable price if they are in good shape.
willland
Brian, I would put the range for HII's at $325.00 to 500.00. Condition, internally and externally, is most important. Wood finish type is also important with some veneers being more desirable than others. Original boxes and manuals can bring up the price. In some cases, modifications are a premium. $400.00 is not off base if in good condition. Bill
Brian6751
thank you. One other question. is it reasonable to sand the cabinet down on a Heresy and restain it?
TheEvan
Depends on finish. Birch raw? Perhaps. Walnut or oak veneer? Careful! You'll never sand past plant rings. Sorry. From the label in the back, what is the model number (actually, letters. Like HBR, HOW, HWL, etc.)?

Johnny's Jill
I think the grills are the same. Craig
MikeFord
Price can vary a lot depending on your local market. I'm in SoCal and from time to time I see as many as half a dozen within driving distance on craigslist. A lot of older people are moving to smaller digs and can't keep a big speaker, or wife doesn't think they can, but a lot of buyers also get spooked by a big speaker, so prices vary. The lesson I "slowly" learn is that two factors frequently outweigh price, getting exactly what you want, and buying the best condition you can find.
