Wolfbane
Crites Crossovers and CT-125 Tweeters made for a big improvement over the original Klipsch XO's and Tweeters in my 1979 Cornwalls but it has me wondering: has anyone attemped to 'upgrade' Bob's XO's further with different caps, etc? JJkizak
To me that would be kind of scarry. JJK
Daddy Dee
Well, you could always spend more on caps and perhaps they would sound "different." The question of whether the "upgrade" is also an "improvement" is a subjective matter. Your own preference here is what matters.
PrestonTom
I would ask Bob, he gives realistic advice.
Wolfbane
Some people are cap swapping on their vintage amps all the time (I have not). I have never been able to find a post where someone did a cap swap on their Crites or ALK crossovers. Will be interested to see if someone has here though. garymd
My Cornwalls have Dean's "Super B" crossovers that use a more expensive cap. They sound terrific but since I've never owned Bob's, I can't make any comparisons. I can tell you that it was a significant improvement over the original networks.
