Don Richard
I saw a sign in the stands on Monday night football. ESPN - Even Santa Pities Notre Dame in the Championship Game.
Boxx
I did hear this on the radio yesterday that ND fans are buying up tickets, on stubhub and the like, at a 7 to 1 ratio, as compared to Alabama folks. Has Alabama's recent successes on the field, over the past several seasons, deflated the fan bases enthusiasm for this game?
Don Richard
The Bammers probably bought their tickets already.
Boxx
That may be true, however approximately 90% of the BCS game tickets are sold in advance beginning in May. Each school gets an allotment of tickets when those teams are selected to play. Most of those May tickets sales go to investors and ticket brokers in blocks. Therefore, most all ticket sales go on the market, the secondary ticket market, after the BCS teams are announced. Of course that helps to explain why the cost of tickets are over the top.
