dynastyraider
Hi guys. do you think the sony STRDN1040 is good enough for my setup? http://store.sony.ca/gsi/webstore/WFS/SNYNA-SNYCA-Site/en_CA/-/CAD/ViewProduct-Start?SKU=31-STRDN1040
Scrappydue
While it's not a must, I wouldn't even give a receiver without a room correction software a shot. And saying its 165 watts a channel?!?!? Lol really sony? Seems like they are trying real hard to sell a mediocre product to me.
SuBXeRo
I love Sony but they are not even really on my long list of brands for receivers.
jason str
Sony's ES products are very good but you got to pay the premium.

derrickdj1
A good avr offers a lot of things that can be costly for a smaller company to do. Separate processors can be expensive and have the same technology time table as the avr's. It is a matter of personal choice but, i favor the avr/amp combo. The price of electronics drop so fast it is easy to get a good avr on the cheap.

I would have got another one but it was just to much for something i will upgrade again in a few years.
