jimjimbo
Hi all, I need 4 acoustic isolation wedges for my (4) KG 5.5's similar to this, but larger to fit the dimensions of the bottom of the 5.5's... which are: Width 12.25” Depth 17.5” Weight 69lbs Everything I've found so far is too small. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
001
what is the purpose of those "wedges"? the kg 5.5 has lots of the same foam stuffed inside, just not a wedge. what does the wedge improve over the stock foam?
bracurrie
Why not use a pair and trim. Or trim of one is too large.
derrickdj1
You can always DYI something. A couple of 2x4, spray glue, piece of outdoor carpet for covering the wood and a piece of plywood and 1-2 hours of work and you are done. I did this for my subwoofers. 001
It's not for inside the box. They are for slightly raising and isolating the speaker from the floor. External installation. why do you want to isolate the speaker from the floor? is there an audible improvement in doing that? always thought the idea was to couple the speaker to the floor, hence the spikes that are under the plastic feet covers.
