wvu80
If you have a large room and/or like to listen loud - go with steeper slopes. In this case, I recommend contacting John Warren. Everyone else: use the Type AA with paper in oil capacitors (if you're interested in truly good sound) - they get plenty loud enough in the kind of rooms us poor people have. That is good quick advice. Thanks! I was thinking about steep slope XO's and wondering in what application they would work best. My unmolested Khorns have AA XO's and I am mulling over options. I don't want to go crazy throwing money at them, but after 35 years they are surely ready to be refreshed. Off the top of my head I was thinking about those motor run caps that were featured a few months ago in a Klipsch thread. I don't know if that's what I want, I'm just in thinking-about-it mode. Shodrewken
Called up Dave and ordered a pair of his horns. He said they should be ready in 3-4 weeks. Super nice guy, looking forward to seeing his handy work.

Shodrewken
I love them! There was a immediate difference between his horns and the stock ones. His build quality is top notch, I would definitely buy from him again. The overall sound is smoother, and the sound stage seems to be wider. As mentioned before his horns tame the mid range at higher volumes as well.
