mustang guy
The box has lots of both.... There are some pictures in this thread. I have my plate amp out and I will shoot a pic or two when I am at the shop again.
CECAA850
Looks like I need to order some polyfill. Man, they have it PACKED in there.
CECAA850
After thinking about it, I have some fiberglass and will use it. The box is sealed so there's no issue with particles coming out of the port and it has better thermal properties than polly.

mustang guy
My sub looks like the one in the link, the polyfill is only up to the magnets and no farther.

CECAA850
Works great in my sealed subs. How do you know? Have you tried with and without?
Scrappydue
No. But if it's job is to make my smaller box seem bigger why would I even care to try without? Honestly the stuff is 5$ at walmart for enough for a box. So why not? I'm not that much of a tightwad. Maybe your looking for it do something different for you? derrickdj1
Polyfil will lead to more extension. Over doing it will hinder output at the expensive of spl. So, use only engough to get the job done.

Inhaling small fiberglass particles isn't the best for your health As a general rule you don't want any fill in a vented enclosure. It kills your bottom impedance peak which is what gets you the extra output. You lose more output than you gain any apparent gain in enclosure size.John {C} {C} {C} {C} John E. CECAA850
I have half a roll laying around. I might as well use it. It'll go in a sealed box.
CECAA850
PROOF fiberglass works. I couldn't find and practical tests on poly.
