japosey
Digital recording has enabled people to record subpar music and fix issues after the fact. Where analog recording required much more dedication, perfection, re-recording to get it right. I believe there is less put into a recording now from the effort of the artist than there used to be. How many truly great albums have there been over the past 20 years??? The recording process is different now and does not require the artists to work toward perfection. Don't even get me started on the whole compression issue. With that being said, high efficiency, horn loaded speakers provide me with the most realistic live sound. I have had expensive $2K+ traditional speakers that cater to audiophiles and yes they provide good transients and extreme detail, but they don't seem to provide the dynamics of high efficient horn-loaded speakers.
