Why not put the projector in the Master Bedroom?

I did that with a 55" Plasma one time, (installed it in the master bedroom) the wife came in and and said looks great, hows it working?

Not having anything hooked up yet i ask her to grab that old VHS Vcr from the closet, wired it up and had no idea there was a tape in it.

Fired it up and we witnessed life sized Porn, I ask her where the hell did we get that VCR? neighbor had given it to us when he moved! :o

P.S. a 55" TV is way to big for a bedroom!!

For that you needed a DVD player.

Not sure if it's desirable to you but if you go non-AT, I've been noticing a lot of people using in-wall speakers for a living room type of setup as to minimize bulk.  They'll either put two beside the screen and one under it as a center or else just line up three in a row under the screen, then sometimes paint the grills to match the walls.  Very clean look.  Routing wires behind existing drywall does suck though.  I've been thinking of doing this in my living room for ball games and whatnot.

id love to do that if i owned the house but i rent from family. and i don't think i could talk them into it. plus id really like to have a in wall rack if i were gonna go that direction.

i think what I'm gonna do is sell my 106" and find a 92" and either build some speakers or buy some more klipsch

salks go bye bye. Soon.

What the??

I do like your new picture

thanks!

and the salks are great speakers. i just don't have the gear i don't think to get their potential fully. plus to complete the set it will be quite a bit more money than i am wanting to spend at this time. so I'm probably gonna go diy upstairs cause i have been wanting to try sees builds forever. i have been begging friends to buy them and id do all the building and finishing for free. but no bites. so i guess I'm just gonna have to do it my self one day.

  • 3 weeks later...

ok well a little update on this whole ordeal. i have just ordered a long hdmi cable, and the 92" 16x9 screen. after xmas and the tree comes down the screen will go up and projector as well.

also i went back and forth about the diy speakers and decided i got rid of the 63 theater cause it was huge, and any diy i was considering was gonna big as big if not bigger. so to stick with my reasoning, i ordered the rf-42ii theater but upgraded the surrounds to the 42's instead of the 41's. i have owned this setup before, and to me they are quintet size on super steroids. i love them for what they are.

i also snagged a svs cylinder sub as i have been wanting one forever. wanted to get rid of the little horn subs and put them elsewhere and the inuke gets left on a lot in the living room. so I'm thinking back to a powered sub for now. so now i will be on the lookout for a second one of those.

ill post pics after the holidays once its all up and running.
