sreeram5mvn
Hi Folks, I have recently bought pair of rf82s and I am really enjoying them. But when I was doing some rewiring I observed that I can see inside the speaker cabinet through the rear firing ports. Is this normal?? are they open to the cabinet?? The History Kid
I've never owned a pair of speakers where that wasn't the case...I suppose some speakers use a port tube, but not Klipsch floorstanders. Nothing's wrong with the speakers.

SuBXeRo
for the most part, from what I've encountered with klipsch speakers, their ports are just port flares or look just like flares which help to smooth out air flow in and out usually to help reduce chuffing noises. Their port flares might be considered small port tubes too which helps to determine to what frequency its tuned to. What you see is A-OK
derrickdj1
The ports are for hiding you beer cans?
Paducah Home Theater
If there is a port, its going to go inside of the speaker cabinet. Thats the whole point. I assume you saw some wires or something and thats why you ask but am not sure. Otherwise read up on how ports work and it will make more sense.
