Vintage Klipsch Speaker Hierarchy

Amazing what Chorus IIs go for now a days. HiFi isn't an investment but Heritage is almost an exception to that rule. Just legendary and many owners own their speakers from new for decades. Very few other speakers/component brands like this.

A guy is selling a NIB pair of Chorus IIs on eBay for 8 grand. Insane. Especially Considering what a nice used Forte III can be had for but also an indictment of how beloved the Chorus II is.

I wouldn't take that listing too seriously anyone can ask any price for anything doesn't mean they will sell for near that amount but yes prices are up seems about double from just a couple years ago on average.

Hello,

I am curious If someone compared the different versions of Khorns and would be able to give some details about it.

Some consider that Alnico versions provide some advantages but is it still the case?

Ugo

Most late 70's khorns had  ,  2 Alnico Drivers  , the tweeter and the midrange , some older khorns in the 60's and early 70's also had an Alnico woofer , Alnico V has a special sound   ,  but current khorns sound even better   due to  newer drivers  and crossover  +  the new khorns have sealed backs ,  for  toe in out of a corner
