teaman
I contacted him about them as he is local to me. At first he had them listed for the entirety of the listing at $499 starting bid and got no bids, now he raised it to $549 They are home made replicas if you read the descriptions, not originals.....although the components are originals from Lascalas. I would want to hear them first.
tromprof
Replicas? I should have read it more carefully before posting. Good catch. Not such a good deal at $750.
teaman
Yeah, he used the Klipsch design sheet and made them out of plywood. Still may sound good because of the components but when you can find authentic La Scalas for near that same price I would not even consider these. pite
at least he's honest about putting it in the description.
wvu80
at least he's honest about putting it in the description. Honest? I see what you are saying, he's honest in the descriptions, but the headline reads "vintage La Scala's" which they are not. Further down it reads: Nice set of LaScala's. Klipsch design manual was used to exactly duplicate the cabinets. Complete LaScala drivers, horns and crossovers. ricktate
I think they will be fine. They are not that hard to build.....HDBR builder made 4 of 5 pairs of oak scalas for forum members. If he used plans and Klipsch drivers should be good deal. Now if it was Klipschorn I would pass. Rick
