It's this weekend in Dayton, OH. Here's the link. http://midwestaudiofest.com/index.php

derrickdj1
One of our house guest is going back to Dayton Friday. I did not know there will a Festival. I will have to think about this one. Jim, when is that jazz concert in Mishawaka? It should be this month.
jimjimbo
Derrick, not sure which concert you are referring to. The Elkhart Jazz festival was in June. Usually the bigger events are in South Bend, as Mishawaka is pretty darn small....We do have our local dive bar, The Midway Tavern, which has hosted many, many great blues events over the last several decades.... derrickdj1
I was thinking of the jazz fest. I guess I missed but, June was a busy month for me in and out of town.
jimjimbo
Claude, is it a worthwhile trip? About 4 hours and an overnight stay for me...
ClaudeJ1
I had never been so I couldn't advise. I enjoyed some of the creativity and meeting the judges, who are industry people who design speakers for a living. I went straight from work Friday with a buddy who paid all expenses. There were no horn speakers at all. Most "woofers" were 3-6", so lots of little speakers, most ported. Many sounded good, but because they had to cater to the lower common denominator, they only played at about 75-80 db levels, no loud enough for my taste. Definitely not for Klipsch fanatics, but I'm going back next year, maybe with an entry, we will see. My buddy wants to enter, so I may also, who knows. Neither of use will use woofers smaller than 12" for sure. He wants to use 8 15's per side, LOL.
jimjimbo
I had every intention of going, but ultimately felt like crap on Thursday night, which persisted over the weekend, so I was bummed. Good to hear that you enjoyed it.
