Reporting New RP-280F

Hello everyone.  Just wanted to pass on my experience with the new RP-280F (Reference Premeir) set I bought about a month ago.

The whole system shines whether playing music or movies.  5.1 channel reproduction is clear and powerful, even at reference levels.

Here is the real kicker for music lovers:  Using 5.1 for high-def music, yes, naitively recorded 5 channel source, I felt as though I was at the performance.  Metallica live Madison Square Garden.

2-Channel - Amazing reproduction with my vinyls.  Detail is spot on, and the new horns are powerful, but far more mellow than horns of yore!

Just wanted to start this post so prospective buyers have some feedback.

Yes i have the rp 250 home theater. And like it a lot. Dialong is crisp with the 440c and the 240s are pretty sweet too. And the 250s dont swallow my living foom either overall i am pleased.

I have some room consumption going on, but I like it.  Speakers everywhere!  Nice setup swa99a, happy listening!

How can we have a review with no pics?  Cmon bro!  We wanna see them.  :D   Glad you are enjoying them.  Looking forward to hearing them sometime myself.

DUDE BRO!!!  Same setup I posted earlier in Aug.  Lol.  Even my profile pic is the early setup.  All I did was clean up the wires.  Wooooot for hiding wires.  When I get home, I will post some new ones to this thread.  I never could get the gallery to work.  And I don't have Flickr, just OneDrive.

   :D  :P   ;)

Congrats on the new speakers, room looks good. Just curious, what speakers did the RP line replace?

Hmmm, that's a good question.  I don't know.  They are listed about all the other Reference and Reference 2 Series, but below Palladium.  I will try to find out.

I meant what did they replace in your system, your previous speakers, my question was worded odd….sorry.

Oh my bad.  Well, two in one then.  Klipsch says they replaced  the Reference II Series.

And in my system, I had old DCM KX Series 2 speakers first.  Huge 12" drivers, good for the boy I was.  And some KLH 3-way surrounds.  Now, you can see what I have in my signature.  It is so fun being a Klipsch owner!

Glad to hear (no pun intended) the new RP-280F's are great additions to your HT. Great to know the new Reference Premiere line performs with both music & movies. The addition of the R-115SW really adds to the mix. Sounds like you just got a nice cash back offer. Time to buy some RP-140SA's !! Congrats.
