KG series Qs

Were the surrounds in the original KG series (2,3,4) foam, or rubber?  How are they holding up over the years?  Does anyone know if Klipsch still stocks replacement drivers for the KGs?

And finally, I never gott to hear the DHorm tweeter in the KG 2s, so how do they sound vs. the Heritage line?

All rubber surrounds, I've seen a few with cracks and tears but not many. The tweeter diaphragms are the same as the Chorus, Forte, Heresy II & Quartet and sound pretty good. I doubt Klipsch sells replacement woofers but there are replacements available on eBay.

In all of my KG 1.5's and 2.5's the woofer surrounds look and feel like rubber. The KG 4's I've seen look to be rubber as well. And though I've never seen any KG 3's, I think they would be rubber as well.

All of my KG's (20 years old) still work great... and as long as they haven't been sitting in sunlight for any length of time. They should be okay.

You'd have to call Klipsch support and ask them...
