Paducah Home Theater
These are neat, don't see too many unfinished ones. I like the pale wood. Not sure what the maple finish comment means. Stain? Dunno. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KLIPSCH-HERESY-II-HBR-LOUDSPEAKERS/151910972756?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35006%26meid%3Dcdad14fcf6d24149ab973846867c9589%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252235472605 Edited January 7, 2016 by MetropolisLakeOutfitters
Rivervalleymgb
My first pair were in 1977 in raw birch with the edges routed over in front. I think they mean a maple stain on raw birch. Birch ply is normally used when making maple cabinets in houses, with the only maple being the solid wood pieces used in doors and drawer fronts. W27
If you look at the picture of the back with the sticker, it looks like someone may have painted them or did a bad stain job. To me this guy tried to finish them, screwed it up, and sanded them down. It looks like dust from the sanding all over in the pic with the grills off. Woofers and Tweeters
Just a light (blonde) Maple finish. He could have tried to do a Walnut or Cherry finish. The color would be brown or reddish brown, respectively. People are fooled all of the time believing they are buying Cherry, when the wood is actually Birch that's been stained. With the grills off, something definitely looks really bad. I didn't zoom in on the other pics.
Frzninvt
Looks they were white (fingerprints all over the motorboard) at one point and someone attempted to bring the finish back to bare wood. The title should read poorly finished Heresy. They are Heresy II's by the way.
