Any bidding prior to the last second or less of the auction simply drives up the price. People who throw a bid or two at an item do no good and just make the item more expensive for those who are actually prepared to spend some money. Casual random bidders are like bad drivers they are everywhere getting in the way causing problems that they simply walk away from pretending to be innocent of.
