kde
From what I've heard... the Samsung LED tv cords that come in the box are polarized. The replacement cables on Amazon for ~$10 are not listed as polarized. Does this matter? Looking to get a longer cable (~8" length to hide wires). Is there a better place to purchase this cable than Amazon?
CECAA850
You can check Monoprice or MCM
richieb
Both my Samsung plasmas from a couple years ago came with donut like device that snapped around the cord. Maybe for RF, don't know for sure. But I have thought of putting them on AGon for $899.00 each with the absolute promise of blacker blacks, vivider vivid colors, crisper highs, more holographic sound stage and bass that digs to China. Make that $1199.00 or 2x for $2397.00. Thirty minute money back guarantee from when they ship. Any takers before they graze the 'Gon? Andy W
Yes, it matters. Usually appliances that have polarized cords have protection built in to the electronics, electrical insulation, or grounding that depends on the polarity of the AC to properly protect the user from electric shock. babadono
Do you mean 3 prong grounded plug or just 2 prong but with one blade bigger than the other? If it is 2 prong non polarized you can always just flip it over.
kde
Two pronged cable. It will be plugged into a surge protector and not directly to the wall.
babadono
ok so any 2 prong cable will work. Polarized will only plug in one way, non polarized either way. But even on the non polarized cable you can figure out which wire is neutral and which is hot and plug it accordingly.
