jason str
I could not see it being a problem. If you want some added protection just make a base out of wood the same size as your center and paint to match. eth2
I would not want to place electronics on top of a speaker which is vibrating, especially at high volume levels. Also the heat from the TV is not going to be good for the laminate and speaker top. Edited April 19, 2016 by eth2
jason str
Heat rises and that cabinet should not vibrate unless Klipsch has cheapened their cabinet builds on the newer models. Give it a test, throw some power to your speaker and judge for yourself.
Paducah Home Theater
This has came up twice here in the past few months, supposedly the official answer from Klipsch was that these centers were made for such things and will support 100 pounds. I cannot confirm where that came from.
eth2
Heat rises It also radiates, but then again, I am curious as t the long term results.
jason str
That cabinet will be stronger than any television stand for sure. If heat is any issue just make a wood base to go in between like i mentioned earlier.

Grizzog
Jay responded to my same question about the 450c and said go for it. It is holding my ~60lb 60" LCD just fine. No problem with vibration; the cabinet is very solid. Mike M
I have my 65 in curved Samsung sitting on my 450c. I was told by a klipsch rep that the 450c is rated for up to 100 lbs. I don't imagine the 440c would be much different. I say you should be fine with a 55 in sitting on it.
