EmilC Posted May 31, 2016 Author Share Posted May 31, 2016 $500 was a bit much for me when I initially ordered the preamp but I do understand that the type of attenuator used can greatly affect the sound quality. If you're going to offer a remote it has to be as good as the non-remote version. What I love about this preamp is the use of the 6SN7 tube. Much better sounding,IMHO, than the 6922 and the like. Moreover, you only need one 6SN7 tube. They are plentiful and inexpensive so tube rolling to find the sound you prefer is easy and fun.
