USNRET
Daughter's 12th birthday is tomorrow and I want to give her tickets to see 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) in San Antonio, TX / Sept. What is the best option or all of the 'outlets' the same. Casual looks this morning show that two in section F-6 go for about $150 ea. I know that I will really enjoy the music

Ceptorman
My 15 year old daughter saw them a couple years ago with One Direction. I will say their music isn't so bad, not completely my taste but they do play their own instruments. If you happen to go to the concert with her, take earplugs, not for the music, but for the 20k teenage girls screaming! It gets loud. Plus you'll be one of about 14 men there with 5k moms We went through Stubhub for tickets.
USNRET
Yep, I'm taking her (didn't consider the benefits mentioned above). Mom took her last year to the show in Houston; my turn.
mustang guy
You can always tell her to meet you at the pub down the block after the concert.
USNRET
You can always tell her to meet you at the pub down the block after the concert. except for the 2.5 hour drive back. I paid the $320 for 2 tickets + $68 service fee + $10 parking + $28 service fee and then got the silent treatment from the missus when she learned the price
mungkiman
Maybe surprise the missus, and give her your ticket?
USNRET
Maybe surprise the missus, and give her your ticket? I don't want to start another fight! It's my job to drive to San Antone and then go to work the next day; she's busy with eh, eh, being busy.
mustang guy
You'll have the time of your life watching your daughter swoon. Enjoy it, there will be time for rest another day. They grow up quickly!
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted June 3, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 3, 2016 You can always tell her to meet you at the pub down the block after the concert. except for the 2.5 hour drive back. I paid the $320 for 2 tickets + $68 service fee + $10 parking + $28 service fee and then got the silent treatment from the missus when she learned the price Don't forget the $30 to 50 t-shirts, posters, etc., etc. Cokes, cheese nachos, you both will consume there. I think the best investment you can make is to get so great Klipsch over the ear headphones to cancel all of that out.
