Craig6519
Ok here's whats gonna happen, when I recieve my outlaw 950 pre/pro, I'll be moving my H/K 520 to the bedroom. I don't have the cash for a reference system in my bedroom but want to stay klipsch. I'm thinking quintets or system 6. Any suggestions? Orange Peel
I've never heard the Quintets, but I heard people say they sound great for limited size speakers. If you have any kind of room in the bedroom, maybe consider the Synergy line, pick up some SF-2's, SS-1's and the SC-1, and maybe a small sub. You can get it all pretty cheap online. I know jtkinney on this board was selling his SF-2's, RC-3, and a couple KSW-12's for a VERY reasonable price, I've personally seen them, they are in MINT condition. If space is a limiting factor, just get the Quintets, the HK AVR 520 is MORE than enough receiver to power those little guys ------------------ Scottc>s> Goldsmithc>s> Home Theatre:s> Klipsch RF-3's (Front Mains)c> Klipsch RC-3 (Center)c> Klipsch RS-3's (Rear Surrounds)c> Polk Audio PSW650 subc> Harman Kardon AVR-520c> Harman Kardon AVR-125c> Mitsubishi 60" Big Screen VS-60609c> Sony DVD DVP-S530Dc>
TheEAR
Quntets,no unless you really dont have space to place a few small stands and Synergy SB3,SB2 abd SC1 center. The Synergy line sound a good deal better, from dynamic range, much less coloration too.Get the Synergy. And a RSW10 for sub Works great with the SB3's and SB2's. ShapeShifter
Well I have the entire Quintet set up with Infinity sub in my bedroom. I am quite pleased with them. If If I want a blown-away theater session, I just get my lazy butt up, go downstairs and turn on the Heritage Theater System. Actually, rockin' the house is not what I'm interested in doing when I'm in the bedroom Wes ------------------ KLIPSCH IS MUSICf> My Systems f>s>c>
Craig6519
We'll space isn't really a factor in my bedroom it's huge. I've only just moved back to the States, can you reccomened some places that might sell these speaks in a package deal? I know the system 6 and quintets come like that but what about the others you reccomened? Thanks Craig
TheEAR
Or like good ole HornEd said a few years back "Son get real speakers, buy three pairs of KLF30's and cram them into your puny 10*14' room." I did listen HornEd and now suffer from severe ring in my left ear!Damn the KLF30's were discontinued so I had to get the next best thing...RF-7's LOL To compensate for the slightly lesser punch I use bigger amps! If HornEd tells you to buy four SVS Ultras dont listen. After all we all need to listen at 121dB,need we not? TheEAR(s) Now theears
