Christiesuzanne0
Can anyone tell me what value this speaker has? my father passed away and owned this speaker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SiliconTi
Well, I'm gonna need way more picts that that. Entire back and back of each driver would help. If it is a single - probably not much. Looks like a home brew cabinet. Parts may have some value. More info please.
mungkiman
@Christiesuzanne0 First, I'm sorry for your loss. Your father would have been in good company, had he perhaps known about this forum and joined. Second, welcome to the forum! DIY facade Klipschorn is my best guess. Not many models don't show the woofer, and the K-400 horn is visible in the K-77 photo. Like SiliconTi suggested, the value there is in the components, and could be in the several hundreds of dollars. More pictures would help. Frzninvt
I can tell from the tweeter and the network that those components are from 1962 or older. Hand wound coils on the network and the chrome throat screw terminal 16ohm K-77 tweeter are a give away.
DizRotus
I'm sorry about you father's passing. Welcome to this forum. Do you know when he acquired this, and whether he built it? The woofer -- speaker inside the bottom -- could be the real prize, but I doubt you want to access it for photos. It seems to be in a self-storage unit in the photo. I hope there's no urgency to sell it.
1HOHDude
This might make someone with Khorn front speakers a good center.
