DizRotus
Tim @teaman, When can I go for a ride in the 1940 Chris-Craft that sold for $18,750 at an EBTH auction in Howell, MI? You did buy that local bargain, didn't you?

teaman
My God this SW 15 ii is gigantic...82 frickin pounds... I am on my way out to dinner with my wife, we've been married 21 years today. It's not her anniversary gift?

I just noticed the card I picked out for her was for her birthday...which isn't until September...she didn't find it as funny as I did. It's the thought that counts
Woofers and Tweeters
Sorry you didn't score a great deal teaman. I should have checked back on this thread. I have bought a lot off of EBTH and posted a lot that they have offered. Several rules have changed with that auction site, but here is a warning about them. Some of the changes that I've noticed: Some of their sales will charge you, even if you're picking it up (pick up fee) = BS Some offerings listed in one sale might have a pick up elsewhere (Ex: I bid on some RB35 that were listed in a sale from northern IL, but the pick up was in Cincinnati) Also, I bought the RB35 and was going to pick them up on the Saturday, when they said that I could. I looked at my invoice on Friday evening and seen that they added shipping charges and had generated a shipper / tracking number. I was able to get them to not ship (in fear of them getting damaged), but it was an ordeal. Those are the few changes that I have noticed. What hasn't changed is that there are very few great deals on that site anymore.
teaman
I did get to see the KLF-C7, KHorns and La Scalas while I was there. Overall decent shape but the center had all kinds of smudges and scratches, the La Scalas were scratched up pretty bad and the K's had lamination issues around the bottoms. I think the prices the winners paid was way more than I would have....which I luckily bowed out. The SW-15 II only has two scratches on the top and a couple of cat claw marks on the outside grill, not too bad though. I may be just using it in my garage so it really doesn't make that big a difference.
