It sure can be but not definite. You may have to consider a bit more room treatments than a larger less square room. What type of floors, walls, ceiling, window treatments, etc. are in this room? A little over 1000ft3 room will definitely be able to take advantage of boundary gain for bass extension but may get very boomy if not properly treated. JohnA Posted October 10, 2017 Share Posted October 10, 2017 Having the length and width so close will reinforce room modes about 50 and 100 Hz. They may even be pretty strong. Since it is the room you have and moving walls is not often easy, look for some good bass traps made for 40 - 120 Hz.
