Peter P.
I picked up a pair of kg 4.2's in very good condition, but the black grill cloth on each speaker has some slightly visible white staining, as if paint landed on them and was wiped off. It doesn't look like the cloth is readily removable from the frames, if so, how, and where do I get similar cloth? Otherwise, what do you think of my plan to correct the color flaws by applying black shoe polish (liquid or paste), or perhaps liquid wood stain or Watco oil stain to the grills? johnnydrama
Part-Express and Crites Speakers sells replacement grill cloth. I would look into those options first!
wuzzzer
I was able to clean up my grills by soaking them in warm water with liquid dish soap in the bathtub. I'd try that first. Lightly scrub the discolored area with a rag or scouring pad.
dtr20
I always use wool lite in the bath tub. Those grills are made of plastic frames, so, no problem.
