Klipsch Forte Speakers

Generally, I'd say yes but it all depends..

Value for a willing seller and willing buyer depends on the condition and finish, and whether the seller wants a quick sale. The black lacquer demand less.  Blown out drivers can be a problem.  Having original boxes is a plus.

I'd say your son could have gotten a couple of hundred bucks more.

I don't want to be harsh but it seems like something took this out of your control.

Hi -

Yes I wasn't home and he thought he was doing the right thing.

They were from the 1980's - wood finish - I am original owner.

I am not an expert when it comes to this, didn't have original papers, boxes, etc.

Just curious, what were they worth?

Original forte's sell between $300-$500 depending on finish and condition so your son just priced them to sell quick is all, I wouldn't be too upset. Now had they been Klipschorns I'd say its never too late for a good ash woopin'!!

Hi jjptkd -

Well that makes me feel somewhat better!

The prices out there, especially eBay, are so varied.

They were in really good condition, wood nicked a bit here and there, mostly lower.

So hard to gage what actual price should be.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!
