dtr20
Can anyone recommend a 4 zone amplifier that won't break the bank? Most of the time it will run 1 pair of speakers in the garage (8 ohm), but occasionally it will need to run 2 pairs of outdoor speakers at the same time, 1 pair being 8 ohm and the other pair being 4 ohm. I'm not looking for anything crazy since this is a garage/outdoor speaker setup. I'm currently using a cheap Sony 90s/2000s HT receiver for this, but I'm upgrading one pair of my outdoor speakers to the klipsch rock speakers which are 4 ohm (if wired in stereo). With this receiver, I won't be able to run both pairs simultaneously. I'm trying to stay in the $100-400 range. Thank you in advanced
twk123
I dont know a lot about multi zone audio but I imagine you could use one or two of these together to get what you need: https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-apa102-class-d-stereo-60-wpc-amplifier-auto-on--300-591 Here is a 4 zone amp too but its $475: https://www.parts-express.com/nuvo-nv-d460-4-channel-power-amplifier--301-

You can Y the RCA signal to go to each amp.
carlthess40
Will you need separate volume control for each set of speakers? If not I have a amp that will run 3 pairs at 65 watts from two channels and will go down to 2ohms for each speaker. It really has 6 amps in it , 3 each side , with just the left and right rca inputs. It’s the amp on the bottom and the amp in top is a two channel amp as well
dtr20
I'll keep that in mind. I ordered something cheap on eBay, we will see if it works
