prodj101
no, currently the cabnit holds all equipment, and the TV sitso n top. speakers are scattered around the room as normal.
kenratboy
Ok, can you: -Take a digital picture and post it with the picture poster -Give us a budget and approximate size requirements Does it need to be real wood, or wood look? I have seen some nice fake, and real wood stuff at various furniture stores. I would check out stores called "Oak Outlet" and the like. They have fairly-priced wood furniture that will look very good and is specifically meant for HT/audio use. Let us know what you need! Mighty Favog
Give these people a try. http://www.studiotech.com/racks/ultrarack.html They resemble an early 1930's motif.
prodj101
a little pricy, I'm just gonna cruise the antique places. The one we have now was the enclosure for one of those old radio systems, back when they needed a 4 foot tall cabnit, lol.
lynnm
Thrift shops and second hand stores are also worth looking at for old cabinets. I have seen several old armoires, (a freestanding cupboard used as a closet) turned into very classy equipment cabinets. I mention armoires in particular because even though they look very impressive they tend to be available very reasonably because few people need them for clothing and they are too large for most other purposes.
