buzzing speaker

I've got a 6.1 system and the rear surround speaker buzzes when the receiver is turned off, not always but a good deal of the time. The speaker is a klipsch SC-1 (yes a center channel speaker, no one would sell me just one surround speaker, only pairs so I got this. It's hooked to the receiver via 30' of kimber 4PR,14 gauge wire. Doesn't seem to matter wether other appliances in the room are turned on or not, anyone know what's going on?6.gif

Well, we've got hissing and buzzing speakers going on all over the place. Anyone got a barking one, like maybe a woofer?

Anyhow, does the speaker buzz when it is unhooked from the receiver? If so, I'd guess it's picking up vibrations from some other source in the vicinity - a sympathetic vibration I think it is called. If not, then there is some kind of current leak in the system somewhere, methinks.
