prodj101
is it worth upgrading from SF-2's to RF-3's or is the difference not noticable enough to justify the cost?
Deang
It's always worth it.
tpg
Sure, but why stop there? Go to RF-5's or 7's... heck just get K-horns and be done with it. It just never ends...
Audio Flynn
It depends on the cost. If you could sell off the "2s'" and get the RF3 for less than $ 200 more investment that would not be bad. If you had to spend more you could get a used pair of something in the low end of the Classic or Heritage line nicer than the RF3 for 2 channel. Audio Flynn
In your case if you watch a lot of movies an RC3 center channel upgrade would perk up your HT experience.

Stephen328
Are you really considering the rf-3s???? Personally I think almost any synergy to reference upgrade is worth it. BUt you might want to save up for 5s or 7s like you've been planing. Or just keep your sf-2s and buy me a pair of rf-3s.
NOSValves
prodj101, I upgraded my Livingroom HT setup from SF-2 to RF-3's and did it almost for free !! Sold the SF-2 for more then I originally paid for them on Ebay and then bought RF-3 II's for $560 shipped to my Door off Ebay. The difference is Big !!! The Rf-3's are in a completely different league I highly recommend them as a great Value for the money !! Oh and I use them for Music a good portion of the time using a Scott LK-72 30 watt tube amp. they will litterally blow you out of the room.
