MB2020
I’m a new year when it comes to this. I bought AW650’s and a R-120 SW sub for my enclosed porch that opens to my outside bar and pool. I am at a loss on finding an Amp to run all three speakers. Mostly because I’m not understanding all the requirements. I’m looking for some suggestions on what to buy that will help me to get these speakers up and running nicely. Any suggestions on an AMP that will run these nicely that won’t cost me thousands? I definitely would like to have BT built in. Thanks in advance! I appreciate any support I can get.
wuzzzer
Since your subwoofer is self-powered all you need is a receiver or integrated amp that has a subwoofer pre-amp output. Most modern receivers and integrated amps will have that feature along with bluetooth capability. Brands like Onkyo, Yamaha, harman/kardon and Denon offer many models in different price ranges that match well with Klipsch speakers. You should be able to find several options in the $250-750 range from those brands.
MB2020
Thanks wuzzzer! This definitely helps. Is there a specific watt I should be looking for? I attached the spec sheet for the AW 650 speakers. I just don’t want to over power or underpower and have issues at the same time get the most benefit from them. wuzzzer
Anything that's 50-100 watts will provide plenty of power. Here's a few I'd recommend: https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/yamrxv385bl/yamaha-rx-v385-5.1-ch-x-70-watts-bluetooth-a/v-receiver/1.html https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/denavrs650h/denon-avr-s650h-5.2-ch-x-75-watts-a/v-receiver-w/heos/1.html https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/marnr1509/marantz-nr1509-slim-5.2-ch-x-50-watts-a/v-receiver/1.html I've made several purchases from accessories4less.com, both new and factory refurbished items. Never had any issues. They always have fantastic deals.

baron167
Thank you sO much for your help! No offense to Wuzzer, but an AVR is not the way to go. They sound OK, but a “music oriented” amp is a better choice; also available from accessories4less. Like the Yamaha R-N303 for example https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/yamrn303bl/yamaha-r-n303-2-ch-x-100-watts-networking-stereo-receiver/1.htmlSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wuzzzer
No offense to baron167, but at least the ones I suggested have subwoofer outputs. 🙂

If it were me, I would step it up to at least the Yamaha 602 which does have a subwoofer pre-out. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/yamrn602bl/yamaha-r-n602-2-ch-x-80-watts-networking-stereo-receiver/1.html Or maybe even this Denon with HDMI. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/dendra800h/denon-dra-800h-2-x-100-watts-stereo-receiver-w/heos/1.html#!specifications Bill

And no offense to Klipsch for eliminating speaker terminals on their subs or to Yamaha for omitting sub out on lower end units. However, I stand by not buying an AVR for music.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
