billybob
As long as you are happy then. Enjoy them as is for abit before any refresh of crossover. Good morning! ☕
geoff.
Regarding dented dust caps. Dust caps are way tougher than they look, lol. The only way I have ever been able to pop out the dents in any of the dozen or so I’ve encountered is with a thin pin bent at a right angle inserted as close to the centre of the dent as possible and pulled out slowly with a pair of needle nose pliers. Depending on the size of the dent(s) you may want different lengths of the bend. Go slow. And rotate the bent pin 180 degrees under the dent if it doesn’t come up right away. Not sure who first posted this but I owe them a beer.
CWelsh
@Barefootserpent Now that you've had a few days of listening, how do you like the Fortes? Satisfactory improvement over the KG 4s?

Love them

Love them Score! I'm also running mine with a 1060 and think they sound great. Another member suggested I consider building one of the Class D amps based on the TI TPA3255 board, but I've been following the thread on the Topping PA 5, and I'm starting to wonder if that might be a better way to go. I would also like to try them with tubes someday. This hobby could get expensive!
