What to buy? Mint forte II's w/ cross over modded & crites titanium tweeter vs forte II's stock w/ reduced price vs cornwall II's also in great condition.

Do NOT add ferrofluid to a driver that wasn’t designed to use it.

Modifications to your speaker, especially the crossover, typically just gives you a brighter speaker. The sound will be a bit smoother, but will also sound out of balance. Use EQ or tone controls instead.

Thanks, Dean and 001, is replacing the tweeter with a titanium one also going to mess up the sound?  Was also thinking about updating the crossover’s but that sounds like a bad idea.? Was going to use the same values just get newer caps… if updating the caps is not a bad idea. What caps do you recommend Dean? Or should I leave them completely alone?

These are 30 year old KG 4.2 have never been touched internally…. While I do love the speakers. I tend to get listening, fatigue after playing them at volume for some periods of time, which is why I was considering the titanium diaphragm and possibly updating the crossover’s…
