davidb43
I've seen HWL, meaning Heresy Walnut Lacquer finish but what does the "G" stand for. This code was on a pair of 1980 Heresy models.

OO1
@davidb43 are you sure the letter is a G ?
davidb43
Definitely a "G". Tags are very readable. I'm thinking gloss finish maybe?

DoubleJ
That's a new one to me??!? Was/is there a lacquer that would be of a "Gloss" finish? Thanks JJ
davidb43
That would be my guess also. I've owned a pair of Oak Lacquer Heresy before but can't say I really notice much difference in the sheen between the two. The original owner is sending me his original bill of sale so I'll see if they were a special order.

JRH
Sorry for the delayed entry into the conversation. 1980 was a Hell of a year for Heresy's. Mid-September thru November saw over 3600 shipped. In those, only a handful carried the HWLG designation. There were also a handful of HOLG. I would agree that "Gloss" is the likely meaning.
