Dave69
First post here. So 👋 hello. I've had my Klipsch speakers for a long long time. Bought the KG 4.2's from Sound Advice in North Miami back in 93. Still have them still love them. Later got a set of KG 4.5's then a KV 4 center channel. So, I just upgraded to a Marantz sr7015. To good a deal to pass up. I'm thinking of replacing my k.g 4.5's. My choices are, sticking with vintage for the most part, KG 5.2's, CF2's or SF3's. Standing in the room with music, the 4.2s sound better than the 4.5's to me. The highs are about even but the 4.2's seem to have a richer sound. Also have Infinity RS1s for rear, but I have a set of Klipsch r14m's on the way to replace those. Either way, stick with the 4 5's or are any of the 3 others a better choice. I'm not saying the 4.5 sounds bad I'm just seeing if I can find something a little better. It's a medium sized room Edited June 26, 2023 by Dave69 Gramar

Dave69
Right now, the CF-2 and KG 5.2 are within my budget. Choice wise which is the superior speaker? I really like the sound from my 4.2's Just purchased a Marantz SR 7015. Center is a KV-4 fronts are KG4.5's side are kg4.2's and new rears are R14M's and a JBL Sub Wanting to change the fronts to either a kg 5.2 or cf2 Although I found someone selling a pair of Forte 1's too. A bit more money than the other 2 Edited June 27, 2023 by Dave69 added info

It's a medium sized room What I'd do is put the 4.2s in the front, put the 4.5s as rears, use the R14ms as rear fills (or in another room for stereo) and spend my money on 2 or more subwoofers. More sub's means less distortion and more even coverage in the room, not the mention the power available when the depth charges go off! A second sub doesn't sound bad. Just tore down the 4.2.and 5.5s to send the cross overs to crites to be rebuilt in gold version
Frzninvt
This setup has no synergy so it really doesn't matter. Nothing matches with all the different series of speakers your timbre will be all over the place until you get all similar speakers. Sell and start over with timbre matched speakers it will be well worth it and will make a tremendous difference.
Dave69
I was told the kv4 was a match to the kg series. All but the back rears are kg series and when I go to stereo mode only the sub and the 4 kgs play unless I select the option to power all of them

The centers for the KG line are KG 2.2 and KG 2.5.
