New speaker question La Scala ???

Since no one said it clearly, the bottom of those cabinets have a piece of 3/4 inch plywood, slightly smaller than the cabinet width and depth that is screwed on and covers the access to the 15 inch woofer.

And, in case it hasn't been plain, the La Scala bass horn is NOT a subwoofer.  Subwoofers operate from below 20 Hz to as high as 80 Hz.  Some can respond a little higher.  A La Scala bass horn will not go much below 60 Hz, even under the best of circumstances.  It will reproduce bass tones cleaner and clearer than most any other speaker.

Some folks confuse woofer with subwoofer, and think the bass driver in any speaker is called a subwoofer, rather than a woofer.

 

Have we heard any more from the OP?
