Kain
Does anyone know the price of the 2004 Audi S4?
sj993
Hey Kain, Since the car hasn't been released to the public yet and probably won't be until late this year I really can't say what the price is. However from reading the C/D article about the new S4 they say it's priced in the "mid-$40's." Even so that's not a whole lot more than the current S4. With 339HP and 302lb-ft of torque it should wipe the floor with the current S4. But then power isn't everything...hehe. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Here's the link if you want all the details: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/previews/2003/march/0303_preview_s4.xml?&page=
Kain
Thanks. What about the Volvo S60 R?
justin_tx_16
My mom is looking at a Volvo S80, it is around 52,000 if that gives you an idea...
kenratboy
$45,000ish for the S4. Your not in the USA (right?) so you can probably do the math and figure out your price. That is the car I will get when I get out of college and get a job. 6-speed all the way!!!
sj993
http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.mv?file=car.mv&num=1383 No price for the S60 R but those are the specs.
sj993
Ok, the price is around $38,000 USD and is scheduled to arrive sometime in the spring in the states. I'd like to get one just to see the fancy suspension technology at work.
kenratboy
I want a S4 and I want it now!!! Just wait for the RS4 - drop a few turbos and intercoolers in the S4 and, wha, 450 HP - the turbo plumbing will be a major PITA. Maybe they will add a few inches to the car. sj993
Yeah, can't wait for the RS4 myself! I love the look of Audi's S and RS cars. Very subtle and only a true car enthusiast can really tell the difference between a regular Audi and "special" one.
Bulldawg
So long as they loose the horrid black "rub strips" on the doors here in the US. Or you could opt for an Evolution or WRX STi that would smoke the S4 for $10k less..
easylistener
What about a GTP with a $70 supercharger pulley and you can have over 400 ponies, and know one can tell. A real sleeper. I know I have one, and nothing has been able to take it yet. not even the c4 vett. I have a viper race on sat. It should win, just because of traction, but it is fun to race. Bruinsrme
I remember about a year ago I was thinking about a new "sports" car. then I thought about putting smelly stinky hockey equipment in the car, my dirty filthy mountain bike on my roof, or lumber and constructuion stuff from Home Depot in the back seat. Ahhhh a truck suddenly looked more appealing but to have a screaming machine. I am drooling...
PhilH
I had the very fortunate experience of riding in an S8 on the Autobahn at around 150mph a few weeks ago. Geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz, it felt like we were doing 70 or 80....smooth and stable, what a car!!! I bet if could even get my 96 SHO to 130, I'd be watching as things vibrated off and flew in different directions behind me! PhilH
easylistener
The sho handles pretty well at around 135 if you have the right tires and the suspensions isn't in rough shape. Get a ford chip for it makes a huge difference. Email me if you want the link.
sj993
yeeeaaah I would opt for the WRX Sti above all else! Mostly because it's the only car I could really afford right now. I like the Lancer, the Evolution that is, not that crappy Lancer. It's pretty sweet but I think I'd still take a WRX over the EVO.
