1971 Klipsch Cornwall 2

Hello everyone,

I need so advice, There is a person in Rhode island that I bought a pair of 1967 Klipsch heresy's from that are all original and they were in ebay several months ago and I got them for $600.00 plus shipping. The same person has a pair of 71 klipsch cornwalls 2's that are done in teak finish and all original except for the tweeters we think and they are type B crossovers and the vertical tweeters and midranges. Also they have smoked glass tops that fit on the tops of the speakers and thay have the bases on the bottom which I guess they are called the risers and they are in mint condition. They even have the Paul Klipsch pie logo's still in a plastic bag stapled on the backs of each speaker. I talked to Steve Phiplips in Tech support on he thought they were great but looking at the letters above the serial numbers he is not sure if Klipsch did the teak veener regardless they are done professionally. Anyhow he wants $1300.00 and I will have to have them crated and shipped in with a shipping co. maybe about $200.00. Let me know guys if this is a good deal and if anyone knows of the cheapest way for shipping let me know. Here is where I have some pis of these babys.

Regards,

Bobby

$1300 is high regardless of condition and finish, with the shipping on top of that you are getting into Khorn territory. It all depends on how bad that you want them I suppose. I tried a link or two that you provided but they resulted in an error.

I think a tad high. You have to ask yourself, if these will fit in with what you have furniture wise...and looks wise as well. If it is a perfect fit however, THAT may be worth some more $$.

The older Cornwalls are wonderful, you will love them!!

I still say Klipsch's best kept secret.. Cornwall I's in a medium big to big room.

I know I'm gonna catch hell for this..... but,

there are Cornwalls, and then there's the remainder of the Heritage line.

Don't slam me just yet, I love them all, I'd love to own a least one pair of each. But, I've been smitten by my first pair of Cornwalls, and now I own 3. And I don't plan on stopping either, I've just gotten pickier.10.gif

IF IT'S IN or NEAR YOUR BUDGET; GET THE CORNWALLS!

You won't regrett it.2.gif

(by the way Silver, that pair of 68's that I recently purchased out of RI, were not complete. One of the speakers is missing a woofer. 7.gif The ebay seller was'nt very honest in his ebay description. However, the exteriors are in excellent condition (95%), just the missing woofer.)

Don't think of it as a missing woofer. Rather, see it as an extra large port for the tweeter and squawker...

If those Cornwalls are '71 Cornwall II's, then they've the vertical tweeters and squawkers, a more desireable configuration.
