fire pinch
Hi all! Yes, I wondered if this could affect the performance if you have a bed in your room your you dont have one (well the sub is in my bedroom). I guess that yes, because the bed absorb a certain amount of bass, Im quite sure. What do you think others about that?
fabulousfrankie
I don't think the bed's going to absorb any bass, I think it would act similar to a couch in a living room. If anything, having such a large piece of furniture would only decrease the amount air in a room that the subwoofer has to pressurize. This would make it easier on the sub, it's probably too small a difference to be audible...I'm just guessing though.
prodj101
I have 2 beds in my room, which take up 2 corners, I think this would have a positive effect, sort of like those bass traps.
dougdrake
I think the presence or absence of a sub will have no impact on your performance in bed.

Much like a subwoofer, its not about the cheap "boom boom" that gives out easily, you have to approuch with grace and depth, with authority. So gentlemen I ask you, is your "woofer" up to the challenge?
fire pinch
ROFL!!!!!!!! Yes!! My "woofer" is very capable of deep rattling bass! Ok, thank you all! Just wanted to know your opinion on this. I just thought differently. One day, just by curiousity, Im gonna do an SPL test without and with the bed! Thanx for the good laugh!!!! dougdrake
I would expect the SPL's to be higher without the bed, simply because it is painful.

ben.
Performance with the bed would certainly be better with a long stroker.
