Craig6519
Ok does this make sense? 10/838 and 10/837 This is what one of the label reads, my digital camera doesn't pick up the # P/N 09001131120 XXX Oak Oil S/N 10/838 W/O 225/1 XXX is there because someone marked this out with a black marker on both speaks, not sure what was there. Craig6519
Ok I'm looking at the klipsch serial # and can't make them out either. HELP PLEASE. Craig
edster00
Craig, Could the "7" be a "T"? Are there any numbers stamped into the wood along the top edge (rear) of the cabinets? Believe me, I am not trying to give you a hard time, just trying to figure out what speakers you have!
Craig6519
It is either a 7 or a / definately not a T and there is nothing stamped into the wood. The entire back of the speaker all the way to the top edge is painted Black. Craig
BigBusa
Turn the CWs around and look on the back edge of the speaker top. There you should see the SN # stamped into the wood. My CWs have this.
Craig6519
Thats exactally what I did BigBusa and there is nothing stamped into the wood. Craig

Craig6519
The above pic you can see the label and the top of the speaker clearly, ther is no stamp in the wood. what year are these? Craig
Craig6519
If you look closely at the binding post picture it has 1986 on it. Craig
fini
Craig, These don't seem to fit the standard (which changed) format for dating Klipsch speakers, based on this chart. They could have been made 1/10/87, but that system of dating supposedly started in 1990. The numbering systems in the chart were not strictly followed, I understand. Maybe Trey will chime in. fini
Craig6519
Thanks fini makes sense to me. Anyway these are all waiting for some lucky guy here in Oklahoma City. Craig
JCturboT
Craig, My guess from your supplied serial #s would be 1990, the last year of the Cornwall. My 1984 models did not have the date stamped into the wood as well as I think they stopped this in around 1981-1982. Jeff
Craig6519
Ok that's a vote for 1987 and 1990. Anymore stabs in the dark This is kind of driving me nuts. It's still all for sale too. Craig
greg928gts
Craig, how much do you want for the Dynaco ST-70? What's the cosmetic condition? Where are you located? If you have photos, please send them to glroberts@prexar.com. I'm listening to a modified ST-70 right now on Cornwalls, and it sounds very nice. But I'm sure it's not as good as the one you have. I've thought about sending it to NOSValves. I also have an original one that I could send to him too, but it might be easier and cheaper to buy yours and sell the two I have on ebay. I had thought about turning both into monoblocs at one time, but now that I have the Quicksilvers I won't be doing that. I'm surprised no one has jumped at yours, it must sound awesome with all that Craig did to it. I'm anticipating some sales on ebay soon, so I'll have the money. Now that boating season is over I've got more time to put into the other hobby. Greg
Frzninvt
They are from 1990 according to the label on the back.
Craig6519
Can you explain the label to me? How did you come up with 1990? Thanks Craig
