WMcD
Folks might enjoy watching a total eclipse of the moon tonight (night of Nov 8). Per Sky & Telescope: "In North America the eastern regions are favored. The partial phase begins at 6:32 p.m. EST, totality runs from 8:06 to 8:31 p.m. EST, and the partial eclipse ends at 10:04 p.m. EST. In the Pacific time zone these events happen three hours earlier by the clock, meaning the moon will already be almost totally eclipsed when it rises in the east at sunset." Unfortunately, it is overcast here in Chicago. Best, Gil

garymd
Thanks for the heads up Gil. It's supposed to be clear here in MD tonight and I have my 3 nephews coming over at 7 to watch Nemo. I hope the older of the 3 will be able to appreciate it. They're 6, 6, and 8.

garymd
It's a beautiful clear night with a full bright moon. I can just see the beginning of the eclipse. I urge anyone else in the area to go outside and check it out.
