My guess is that he's asking a premiuim because of the rosewood finish, if he thinks there were only two ever made. I don't know, but with it being an option for so long, I'd think there are quite a few out there, just probably not often on the market. I don't recall an exact number, but it seems to me that the rosewood finish was a substantial cost over the other finishes. Then again, the last time I saw a pair in a showroom was probably 18+ years ago, at Audio King in Minneapolis, now Ultimate Electronics.

I mean yeah, they are nice, but almost new pricing? Buy it now for $ 6000 u.s.? Come on, brand new ones are only $ 7500 u.s.

Amazing. And here I thought Elmer's took all the halucinogens out of their school glue long ago. Hmmmm.....? Do you think I can still get a real "Coca-Cola"?

Hey guys,

just remember this guy knows what he wants and buys it! The marketing gurus at Klipsch need to look no farther than this thread to substantiate that there will be no need for a home Jubilee. The fanatics on OUR OWN website will not pay $5-6K for a beautiful set of rosewood Khorns.

They figure(correctly) that the Jubilee will never be a large revenue and profit generator for the the company in a home niche, so why invest any energy in providing a product that will be enormously labor- and tooling-intensive only to increase a market stature that PWK already has driven to enormous heights? I say /bathtub overflows upstairs/ Klipsch has already done their focus group market research and realizes there are more Klipschophiles that will balk at 5K Khorns and 12K Jubilees than those who will open their wallets.

Not a harangue, just my observation, so tiwagos1.gif

I am in the foundation repair biz. Walked into a customers home just south of Little Rock (the guy is about 75 years old) to discover.......Two rosewood Khorns with matching rosewood Bell. Signed by PWK. He had just moved in and there were old tube Mac's, on the floor, covered with dust,...everywhere. I mean everywhere. At least three preamps and three sets of mono power amps. He took me upstairs and......there was another set of cornerhorns with a bell. All rosewood. They were the most beautiful things that I have ever seen. He told me that he had owned ten rosewood horns. He had three sons. When a son grew up and moved away, they left with a set of horns! I ask about adoption.

The rosewood Klipsch is out there.

Dave,

Excellent point. Does cause me to wonder how many of the folks in the market for new Khorns populate the Klipsch forum. The forum folk seem to be the cherishers of relics.
