hightone
So I recently have obtained some funds(2000.00) for a new amp. There are so many choice it makes my head spin. I currently use a jolida 302b intergrated so I will be looking for another intergrated. I don't think I have enough cash for seperates. I am looking for a true blue upgrade and will wait if it's not possible. My room 13.7 x 19 Speakers Cornwall II 11 feet apart I sit about 11 feet from them. I listen to equal parts rock and jazz. Not real loud no 110 db peaks for me (condo) The corns are on the long wall. I would like a quite amp with good detail better defined bass and smoother highs if that is possible for 2 grand. I have a little experince with tube amps and all that entails. So go easy please. I am ready to buy today and would like to get as good as deal as possible for me 2000.00 is a lot now days and it hurts to spend it . Thanks Joel
Deang
That is a lot of money. It's actually just enough for separates. Will you be selling the Jolida? Can you thow that money into the pot, or have you already factored that in?
Colin
mmm, what problems are you trying to solve? an EQ helped my Cornwalls, and room treatments helped my big ole horns...
hightone
Yes I will be selling the jolida . My guess is for 350 to 400. I kinda had it factored in but could squeeze in 300.00 or so more if need be.

hightone
Guy Thanks I saw this one. I guess I will have to look in to it. Have you any exp. with this amp. I noticed it's a pp amp any disadvantages to this? Looks like a good deal though.
Guy Landau
I don't see any disadvantages with this one. It's got Tamura output transformers, dual rectifiers and was modded for easy biasing. I was thinking of getting it myself and running it as base amp in a biamped PP/SE configuration (but I don't have the spare funds at the moment). hightone
I may make this guy an offer. Any other ideas before I do?
sheltie dave
If you throw him an offer, include the original tubes in it. They are of higher quality than the ones he wants to include because he wants to keep the better sounding ones. Who wouldn't?
