I'll research, but it looks like the LS/Belle/Khorn mid lens and I wouldn't think it was Altec - possibly JBL. The slotted BR for the woofer is interesting - this may be home made. I once had a pair of North American Squier, which were similar, but still not quite the same as these. They could be DIY, or a speakerlab type. Daddy Dee Posted January 19, 2004 Share Posted January 19, 2004 Yep, the horns look pretty close. The horn lens looks like it's missing some of the PWK foundry marks on the K400 horn. I saw some pics on a speakerlab clone once, that looked close enough that one might mistake it for the same k400 horn. The North American Sound speakers were built in Dallas by a guy named Greg Doddrill. They were killer speakers and actually would beat Cornwall head to head! I wish I still had a pair. They used the same elements as Klipsch, with the mid and tweets mounted in the "vertical" configuration as per manufacturer recommendations. The cab had about the same volume as a Cornwall, and ported on the back, but in a tower type cab, that looked like what is now the chorus. 12 inch woofer front firing.
